Couldn't make it to happy hour but still want to support our HIV/AIDS supportive housing programs? There are simple ways you can help residents directly. In 1985, as AIDS was rapidly spreading in San Francisco, Catholic Charities CYO was one of the first organizations to respond. Today, our Assisted Housing & Health Programs serve more than 1,100 people annually and fill a crucial need in the continuum of care for people living with disabling HIV/AIDS in San Francisco. We have served the Bay Area since 1907 and remain committed to serving all people regardless of race, creed, or sexual orientation.
Our HIV/AIDS programs:
- Provide more than 200,000 nights of housing for people living with HIV/AIDS each year
- Manage over 65% of the designated HIV beds and subsidies in San Francisco County
- Were among the first to address the needs of women and their children living with HIV/AIDS
- Have served 25% of the HIV/AIDS population in the City
Our Assisted Housing & Health Programs serve as a major link in the HIV continuum of care through education, counseling and support. Our programs collaborate with other HIV providers in the county to ensure that residents have all their needs met whether medical, psychosocial, vocational, or spiritual.
